New Delhi gets negative inputs on policing in Kashmir, heads likely to roll

Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 19: With the prevalent crisis festering in Kashmir and state government failing to tackle the worsening situation, the central government is understood to have got negative inputs on police top brass holding command in Kashmir. Sources said at a recently held meeting the Home Ministry and the Prime Minister's office have got reports that since unrest of July 2016 it has been the police, which essentially is to be made accountable for letting the situation go out of hand. Reports said a similar meeting was held in the national capital on Wednesday as well. Sources said the New Delhi learnt that some influential police officers who actually failed on the ground, happen to hold the key charges only because of their proximity with some of the Ministers in the People's Democratic Party led government.
