EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Nov 18 : Addressing a huge gathering at Jagti Township at Nagrota Jammu, Kundan Kashmiri KPC Chief strongly reacted against the step motherly attitude and discrimination policies of state and centre Govt. towards internally displaced Kashmiri Pandits. Commenting about return of KP's to Kashmir valley , KPC Chief stated that State and Centre governments are not interested for purposeful rehabilitation and resettlement of KP's in the Valley. He further said that KP's return to valley has to be in very clear cut terms and conditions and enhancement of PM's package for the KP migrants has nothing to do with return of KP's to the Valley. The benefits of the same package are to be give at present locations to them. He said that the consolidated rehabilitation with complete writ of Indian Constitution at the "LAND OF KASHYAP" is only viable solution to solve the problems and demands of Kashmiri Pandits. While highlighting the importance of socio- religious issues of KP community, Kundan Kashmiri stated that he is feeling distressed watching culture diluted, rituals disrespected, festivals loosing its sanctity and morality degrading day by day within the community. Our well thinking people and elders are no more watch dogs of the community but seems helpless spectators of all these eventualities , distancing themselves from well laid down ethos , principles and sanskars of the community , which they must not .He appealed to the youth of the community to love and respect their community ethos, principles and sanskars , preserve their culture and language , enhance their population and avoid inter-caste marriage in the community .He also gave thrust for unity within the community and its organizations for overall interest of the community people . Earlier a condolence meeting at Jagti under the chairmanship of Kundan Kashmiri over the sad demise of Bal Thackery Ji . Rich tributes and homage were paid and prayers were held for peace to his soul.
