early times report Kathua , Nov 19: "Quami Ekta Week" was inaugurated with a rally in Govt. Degree College, Kathua. The rally flagged off by the college Principal Dr. Nater Singh from the college gate at 12 P.M. In his inaugral address he said that the students must learn from the dynamic personality of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru and the efforts he made for making India a fast developing country. He lauded the efforts of N.S.S. Unit of the College for organizing such rallies and thus creating awareness among students regarding "National Integration" which is the need of the hour. The main motive of the rally to inculcate the values of brotherhood among the youth, sense of discipline and responsibility to build a strong nation. After Passing through various streets and bazaars of the town, the NSS volunteers finally assembled at Saheedi Chowk. Large number of NSS volunteers along with the N.S.S Programme Officer Prof. Raj Kiran, Dr. Suram Singh and Prof. Naresh Sharma participated in the rally. Various placards were also displayed in the rally regarding National Integration. Among the senior faculty Dr. Janak Singh, Prof. Sumnesh and Dr. C. P. Sharma were also present on the occasion. |
