RAMNAGAR, Nov 19: Tehsil Information Center , Ramnagar organized a debate on the Topic "Is Television being harmful to Kids" in the premises of Government High School, Sunetar in Ramnagar Tehsil today.
As many as 10 students of the host school participated in the contest and expressed their views on the topic.
Headmaster of the host school, Jeevan Kumar Dhiman was the chief guest of the occasion. Rajni Sharma was adjudged first while Suraj Parkash and Rahul Sharma stood 2nd and 3rd respectively in the debate contest. Heema Rani and Rakesh Kumar were awarded with consolation prize in the contest. While speaking on the occasion, headmaster appreciated the efforts of Information Department to hold such contest in the rural areas. He said that such type of contest would definitely provide a platform to budding student to channelize their talent in right direction. He urged the department to organize such more programmes in future. During the contest Ashok Kumar, Satya Sharma and Rajesh Kumar acted as judges while Subash Kumar conducted the proceeding of the programme.
The artists of Information Department and students of the host school presented a scintillating cultural programme on the occasion. Information Department also distributed prizes and certificates among the participants of the contest. |
