early times report
Jammu, Nov 19: Jammu Youth Forum University Unit today burnt the effigy of the State Law Department for being "hand-in-glove" with Jammu University administration to give undue benefit to some senior officers of the varsity.
JYF seeks the interference of NN Vohra Chancellor of University into the whole matter to bring out the fact. JYF suspected Vice Chancellor is not taking any action against his despite knowing everything. They also took the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar for conniving with the OSD in getting the latter file cleared from the Law Department.
JYF University President said that the internal inquiry ordered by the Vice-Chancellor University into the tiles scam was mere eyewash and an attempt was made to save the OSD who was directly involved the scandal."The Vice-Chancellor had appointed the Professor Ranjikant for conducting probe into the scam but the latter was a close associate of Jai Kumar. The whole nexus needs to be broken and it is possible only through an independent inquiry into the scam," JYF president said. They said that the Secretary Law Department in connivance with OSD to Vice-Chancellor had resorted to malpractices which need to be checked. They warned that any attempt of the University to shield or benefit the blue-eyed will be dealt sternly and the authorities will be responsible for these blunders.
Among those who were present in the Protest included Rohit Gupta, Sanjay Gupta, Varinder Singh, Jatinder Kumar, Amit Kumar, Sachin Sharma, Ajay Kumar, Kapil, Anil Sharma, Ajit Sharma, Amarjeet Singh, Imran Khan and others.
