44 held, 150 declared absconding in Kishtwar violence cases
SIT produces challan in 2 more FIRs, 36 named

Kishtwar, Oct 23: Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing August 9th and 10 communal violence in Kishtwar and Padder produced two more challans before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate in connection with FIR No: 145/2013 and 160/2013 and named 36 accused in both the FIRs.
As per the details available with "Early Times", SIT produced challan in the court of CJM Kishtwar for FIR No: 145/2013 registered at police station Kishtwar u/s 302, 436, 435, 336, 353, 147, 148, 149, 427 RPC against Adil Aslam son of Mohammed Aslam Waza resident of Upper Asrarabad, Arif Hussain and Yasir Hussain both sons of Abdul Rashid Butt, Ghulam Hussain son of Mohammed Anwar Butt and Shabir Ahmed son of Abdul Hamid all residents of Asrarabad Kishtwar for murder charges. FIR No: 145 includes the murder of Arvind Raj Baghat who was the first person who got killed in August 9 communal violence due to bullet injuries fired from a 12 bore riffle.
While other persons identified as Varinder Singh son of Saroop Singh resident of Wasser, Mahinder Singh son of Hukum Chand, Rohit Singh son of Ajeet Singh, Ranjeet Singh son of Goutam Singh all residents of Kuleed Kishtwar, Ranjinder Singh son of Raj Kotwal resident of Sartangal Bhaderwah, Shubum son of Ashok Kumar Badyal and Ajay Kumar son of Girdari Lal both residents of Wasser Kishtwar, Sunil Singh Rathore son of N/k resident of Zelna, Anju Sen son of Shahdi Lal Sen resident of Kuleed and Sandeep Kumar son of Shambu Nath resident of Dachhan Kishtwar were booked in charges other than the 302. Among the 15 accused nominated in the challan, Adil Aslam was in police custody and Varinder Singh is in judicial custody, while other 13 accused named in the challan are absconding and court issued warrants against all these 13 absconder U/S 512 Cr.Pc.
In another case FIR No:160/2013 u/s 435, 436, 336, 353, 332, 427, 147, 148, 149 RPC P/S Kishtwar, SIT also produce the challan against 21 accused in the court of CJM Kishtwar which includes Abdul Qayoom Mattoo (Presently under PSA detention) son of Asadulah Mattoo resident of Umar Mollah Kishtwar, Zakir Hussain son of Abdul Gani Butt resident of Sangrabata, Khursheed Ahmed son of Ghulam Hussain Shah resident of Pohi, Sajjad Najjar son of Abdul Gaffar resident of Masjid Mollah Kishtwar, Mubasher Hussain son of Abdul Gani resident of Berwar all presently in judicial custody. While court issues warrant under section 512 Cr.Pc against 16 other accused identified as Maqbool Hussain son of N/K resident of Bandrena, Javed Iqbal son of Abdul Rehman resident of Semna, Fizan Jahinger son of Imtiyaz Zarger resident of Zarger Mollah, Waseem alias Raju son of Gumma, Imtiyaz Ahmed son of Mudassir, Ashfaq Hussain son of Ghulam Nahi, Irshad Hussain son of N/K, Haqnawaz son of Abdul Rashid, Arshad Hussain son of Lassa Master, Akther Hussain son of Salam Master, Shahnawaz son Abdul Rashid, Tariq Hussain son Ghulam Mohammed Butt, Muzaffar Hussain son of Mohammed Ramzan, Tanveer Ahmed son of Ghulam Rasool Butt, Ghulam Rasool son of Fatha Mohammed all residents of Sangrabata Kishtwar and Ghulam Mustafa son of Abdul Aziz resident of Bunastan Kishtwar.
It is pertinent to mention that SIT has so far produced challan in as many as 10 FIRs registered at police station Kishtwar and Padder and named nearly 200 accused in these challans as accused. As per the details available with "Early Times" 44 accused are presently in police or judicial custody, while over 150 accuse including some government employees were declared as absconder by the court. Even though many among these absconders were seen rooming freely in Kishtwar and Jammu; but police fail to arrest them, the reason best known to them.
Meanwhile, the family members of the accused framed in murder case questioned SIT investigation. They said that deceased Arvind Raj Baghat was killed due to gun fire, which is the handiwork of a single person and added that how come than 5 people were booked in this murder case. They demanded fair probe into the case related to murder of Arvind Raj and demanded arrest of a real culprit.
