Patwar Association holds protest

Vijaypur, Feb 16: The Patwar Association of District Samba under the leadership of District President Amjid Khan staged dharna and pen-down strike at D.C. Office Samba for the last two days consecutively.
Speaking on occasion, Khan told that they are demanding for the arrest, seize the gun and cancellation gun licence of Som Raj, who without any reason has fire on the Revenue Party headed by Naib Tehsildar Kathua.
"The team proceeded in the village Rakh Lachipora for re-vacating the land on the direction of Deputy Commissioner, Kathua", he said and added that that FIR has been lodge by the Naib Tehsildar Concerned in Police Station Kathua for stern action against the culprit but till date police has not taken any action against the culprit.
The patwaris were demanding imposition of PSA against the culprit and also seize the gun and cancel the gun licence.
The Patwari told that they have launched the pen-down strike in District Samba in support of the Patwar Association of District Kathua.
He further told that in this concern they have submitted the memorandum to the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu and request him to take stern action against the culprit and also ensure the protection of the revenue field agency. Girdawar Saleem Mohd, Girdawar Nek Mohd., Patwari Jatinder Singh and Girdawar Jagdish Raj were present in the Dharna.
