NMA Kail Paldhai celebrates Annual day cum prize distribution function

Udhampur, Feb 16: To commemorate its academic year and achievements, the National Model Academy Kail Paldhai organised its annual day cum prize distribution function here today in which students participated with great with enthusiasm.
DIG Doda Kisthwar (with Additional charge of Udhampur Reasi Range) Nisar Ahmed IPS was the chief guest while chairman of the school Jagdish Raj Sharma attended the occasion as guest of honour, Prominent present on the occasion as special guests included Tehsildar Majalta Ved parkash, BMO Majalta Dr Mohinder Kumar, BDO Khoon- Manser Pritam Chand, SHO Majalta Aashiq Bhukari Shah. Sponsorer of programme Darshana Kesar, Managing Director Nirmal Kesar, Administrator Officer Dr Neeraj Kesar and Principal of the school Raj Rani Rajput also were present on occasion.
At the onset of programme, the Chief guest accompanied with distinguished guests lit the tradition lamp and declared the events open with a theme on Beti Bachao & Beti bachao and Swach Bharat Abhyian.
During the proceedings of programme, the students of school presented a colouraful cultural programme which left the audience mesmerized. The students presented cultural programmes to spread awareness on social evils like female foeticide, child labour and also on Swach Bharat Abhyian besides significance of female education.
Chief guest Doda Kisthwar (with Additional charge of Udhampur Reasi Range) Nisar Ahmed IPS in his addressed appreciated the students for presenting a colorful cultural programme. DIG-Doda Kishtwar stressed for the proper education of girls and sought awareness to check the menace of the female foeticide. Later he also gave away the prizes to meritorious students and to those who excelled in extra-curricular activities.
On this occasion, Sponsorer Smt Darshana Kesar announced free education to 11 girls hailing from BPL families from pre nursery to middle. She also appealed to all civil society members to do work for the betterment of girl child.
Nitika Verma clinched 'student of the year' award whereas teacher Darshana Devi and Sonia Rajput got 'best teacher award' 2015-16 and Best House trophy went to Nehru House.
Earlier Chairman Jagdish Raj Sharma welcomed all the distinguished guests by presenting shawls and mementoes.
