Clerk associations' to observe 'Pen Down' strike on Feb 23

Jammu, Feb 17: Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association has decided to observe 'Pen Down' strike on February 23, 2017 in meeting held under the leadership of its State president Babu Hussain Malik.
As per press release, the representatives of All Jammu and Kashmir Geology and Mining Department Clerical Employees Association held a meeting under the leadership of its president Bharat Bhushan and unanimously decided to support the proposed pen down strike by assembling outside of Press Club Jammu. Addressing the meeting, Bharat Bhushan demanded the government to implement the orders of High Court vide SWP No 3058/2015 and contempt No 25/2016 in letter and spirit regarding removal of pay anomalies of the clerical at the earliest. They also highlighted their long pending demands including removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre, DPC in all the departments after every 6 months, implementation of 7 Pay Commission, increase of Medical Allowance, Dislocation allowance to the officials posted outside their home district and regularization of daily wagers/ adhoc/ contractual. All Jammu and Kashmir Mechanical Engineering Department Employees Association held meeting under the leadership of its president Vikas Chander along with other members and extended their support to the scheduled pen down strike in support of their long pending demands. Similarly All Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Department Employees Association held meeting under the leadership of its president Meenakshi Sharma and decided to support the strike call by State President Babu Hussain Malik.
