Egocentric party ministers avoid attending felicitation functions
Political appointments of BJP leaders
3/20/2017 11:14:55 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 20: BJP ministers and senior leaders have showed it yet again-their narrow minded vision and egocentrism attitude towards none other than their own fellow functionaries who have been appointed against political posts of various Corporations and Boards as Vice chairmen. They have been giving it a miss in most of the functions organised to felicitate the newly appointed Vice Chairmen, both inside and outside the party.
BJP ministers have always been behaving as self seeking, rather self interested lot, least concerned about elevation of others in the party. But this time they have made it obvious, with egoistic attitude in ignoring the places where they should have graced as Chief guests, said a party leader. In a couple of functions organised to felicitate the newly appointed persons from Jammu, neither the ministers nor any senior leader made their presence, despite some of them having been enlisted as chief guests on the occasion, the leader said.
This attitude is being seen as that no less than their narrow mindset of not hailing other people within the party getting elevated to some higher posts, nor do they raise their own level to accept these as much deserved, yet delayed act of the government. These appointments were in limbo and have been delayed for over two years now, more so for BJP, said the leader adding that PDP at frequent intervals been taking on board their own functionaries and even workers against any available political post, whereas BJP as equal partner has been ignoring the same for obvious reasons.
The silence of BJP only emboldened PDP which is how they have managed to get master share in the political appointments, he added, explaining how BJP ministers maintained deliberate silence instead of showing any promptness in accommodating their own people. Pertinent to mention is that out of 16 posts this time, PDP has taken 9 posts and 7 posts have gone to BJP, though this is not a contrasting share as seen earlier on several occasions.
During the last few days sister organisations of the BJP apart, some organisations supportive of BJP and various departments associated with the Corporations have been organizing felicitation functions, simple though, as a gesture of respect and admiration for those who have been appointed against the political posts. Most, if not all of them, ministers avoid attending these functions for they feel it is below their status or will anyway lessen their value and significance. This is the sentiment that prevails within the party over their conduct.
