Boy, father, grandson beaten by goons allegedly for clicking pictures about 'misdeeds' of incharge BDO

Sunderbani, Mar 20: A class eleventh student of Higher Secondary School was today beaten blue and black by some political backed goons for the crime which he never had committed
The instance happened with Prince Sharma s/o Vijay Sharma of Sunderbani who was called out of his house in the morning and slapped by half a dozen goons backed by politicians alleging that he had become a photography source of an Early Times story against the incharge BDO Bharat Bhushan Sharma's illegal execution of the work under the MGNREGA scheme.
The boy along with his father Vijay Sharma was dragged out of the house and without giving any rhyme to them, the goons started thrashing the both.
Later as soon the boy's grandfather Krishan Sharma tried to chip in to save his son and grandson, he was also rounded up by the goons and beaten up.
Early Times had yesterday carried a news item where it was established that the incharge BDO Bharat Bhushan Sharma along with his subordinates VLW Sudershan Kumar and programme officer Kamaljit had roped in outside labour from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Orissa to conduct the MGNREGA works which should have been given to the local labour .

Residents of the Sunderbani who are well aware about the misdeeds of incharge BDO have requested the Chief Minister Mehbooba to intervene and direct the Vigilance Organization or the Crime Branch to initiate criminal proceedings against the 'influential incharge BDO'.

Sources said that the BDO who owns a very strong connection with the political class must have asked the goons of the party on a suspicion that Prince Sharma had clicked the photographs and given it to Early Times to beat the boy and his associates.
The boy who suffered grievous injuries on his body approached the Police Station Sunderbani to lodge a complaint against the goons which was again influenced by the BDO incharge as well as his goons who tried to stop the Police from lodging the FIR against the culprits.
However when Early Times Office approached the police authorities and sought the enquiry as to whether the FR would be lodged or not against the goons, the incharge officer assured that he would ensure that law takes its course.
After the report was filed , the injured boy was shifted to Sunderbani Health Centre or treatment from where doctors referred him to Government Medical College Jammu for specialized treatment.
