Jammu, Mar 20: Following the footsteps of its predecessors, the School Education department during incumbent dispensation has also been found pursing same discriminatory policies, according to which influential Principals have been enjoying premature transfers within few kilometers whereas those having no political lineages, have been suffering.
According to some transfer orders issued by School Education department in recent past of district Rajouri, some Principals managed repeated transfers within city limits. Moreover, these transfers were also prematured, as issued in violation of transfer policy where as a good number Principals have been facing attachment in Chief Education Officer Rajouri for the last many months.
One such transfer order was issued in favour of Hamsheera Bi. She was posted in DIET Rajouri in year 2015 and in May 2016, she was transferred to Higher Secondary School Rajouri, vice Rakesh Kumar Gupta. "The distance between DIET Rajouri and HSS Rajouri is merely few meters and transfer was also premature, which was in violation of transfer policy", sources said.

The school education department has been accused of pursuing discriminatory transfer policy. The influential are transferred within city limits, while the teachers with no connections are sent to far-flung areas.

Another one is Rakesh Gupta, who was posted in DIET Rajouri in year 2014 In July 2014, he managed his transfer from DIET Rajouri to Higher Secondary School Rajouri and once again transferred to HSS Fetehpur in May 2016 vice Pushkumar Sharma. Once again his transfer was premature and within city limits.
Gulzar Hussain was posted as HOD DIET Rajouri. He was transferred prematurely to Girls Higher Secondary School Dhandkot vice Jawaid Iqbal in May 2016, which was again within city limits. Meanwhile Gulzar Hussain was transferred from Dhandkot to DEPO Rajouri vice Suresh Kumar in August 2016, which was again in city limits.
Nazir Ahmed Wani was under orders of transfer to DEPO Ganderbal and was posted as Deputy CEO Ganderbal in August 2016.
These are few cases of transfers within city limits or in few kilometers of distance from their previous postings but there are over one dozen incharge Principals, who have been sitting idle in Directorate of School Education department Jammu for the last over two years. "Few of them were also retired from their services or on the verge of retirement but failed to get postings in any of the school, which shows apathy of department", sources said.
