BJP-PDP alliance is a threat to unity and integrity of nation: Harsh
4/20/2017 10:17:26 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 20: Dubbing BJP-PDP alliance in the state as a surreptious bondage of dishonest partners, Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP Chairman and Former Minister today said that its continuance further posed the most serious threat to the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the nation.
He said that opportunist alliance of diametrically opposed parties had pushed the state into a vortex of violence with all round chaos, death and destruction as never noticed before. He was addressing a party function in Jammu today.
Apart from ideological incompatibility, the BJP-PDP bond was mutually mistrustful, bilaterally selfish and reciprocally insincere said Singh. He said that the so called "coalition dharma" was torn to tatters when one of the supporting MLAs was tipped by a coalition partner to cross floor in MLCs elections thereby cheating its own ally to reverse the election results. How could the coalition partners be honest to the people when they were not honest to themselves, questioned Harsh.
Attributing the present unrest in the state to the unprincipled alliance, Mr. Singh said that the convergence of North Pole and South Pole had spelt doom, death and destruction for the state. He said that as the people of the two regions boiled with rage, the BJP and PDP brokered the most sinister deal to share the crumbs of power thus defying the mandate of their respective electorates.
While the BJP vowed during elections to demolish the father-daughter (Baap-Beti) party dubbing it as anti-national, the PDP had pledged to erase the BJP from state by describing it fascist, intolerant and bigoted party. He said that the two avowed opponents joining hands after elections merely to enjoy the fruits of power did not auger well for the people of the two regions of the state leading to massive unrest and public disorder.
He said that the lowest ever polling recorded in last week's elections revealed the lack of public confidence in the incumbent govt which he added had lost the moral authority to continue in office.
With separatist and boycott fringe setting the agenda for the BJP-PDP govt, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh said that the incumbent govt had become a security threat.
He regretted that rather than booking the subversives and anti-nationals under sedition laws, the security forces were being harassed, humbled and hackled with criminal cases being registered against Army Jawans. Never before in the history of state had the Armed forces been so humiliated as in the present dispensation, rued Harsh.
He regretted that the incumbent government had resorted to appeasement policy towards the frenzied secessionists, anti- nationals and stone pelters which had emboldened them enough to assault and manhandle the CRPF personnel on duty. He lamented that it was first time in the history of the state that the brave Indian Soldiers had been so humiliated as to be slapped, stoned, jeered, manhandled and humiliated. He said that Indian Soldier had always volunteered himself to embrace death smilingly on the borders while fighting enemy but assault on his self respect by the berserk and maniacal felons was intolerable and disheartening.
He said that sovereignty and integrity of nation had always been a prime motto of an Indian soldier but falling prey to the assaults of anti-national elements in full public view had extremely lowered the morale of the security forces. He said that the most shameful and unprecedented incidents had disgraced the 130 crore Indians to bow their heads with shame.
