Early Times Report

Bhaderwah, Apr 21: All Jammu and Kashmir Saakshar Bharat Mission Employees Association (AJKSBMA) who were seeking regularization of their services and are also demanding fulfillment of their other demands will hold protest and demonstration outside press club Jammu on April 25.
This was informed by the spokesperson of the association Mumtaz Begum in a press conference held here today at hotel city center ,Bhaderwah .
She criticized Government for failing to regularize their services and demanding release of their wages at earliest."Despite working with dedication, the authorities seem reluctant to regularize the employees working under SBM.
We have not been given wages on monthly basis , which forced us to stage protest against the authorities," she said adding that said that nearly 6000 youth were engaged under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme under Adult Skilled Development Programme in the State in 2009.
These youth are working in their respective areas as District, Block and Panchayat Coordinators (Preraks) under State Literacy Mission. Most of them are well qualified and are working with zeal and dedication. They are performing the job of teaching, election duty and exam duty. But unfortunately, their services have not been regularized. Even many of them have not been paid their wages by the concerned authorities for the last three years.
The Govt of India has extended this scheme up to 2017. Many of them are going to be over aged. The Government must issue orders for their regularization. "Government has failed to regularize our jobs from past 10 years. This is sheer injustice with us," another leaders of the association Shoba Devi , Shalu Manhas and Nadia Banoo said and urged upon allto participate in the mass protest and demonstration for their fundamental rights .
They said that they went from pillar to post for the redressal of their genuine grievances but nothing has been done in this regard."We appeal Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and other higher ups to intervene into the matter and redress genuine grievances at earliest," they said. Rashid Iqbal Povincial president , Imran But Chairman , Amar Jeet , Sanjay Kumar , Rekha and other also spoke on the occasion .
