JAMMU, Apr 21: A multipurpose worker posted at Sub Centre Pasgal block Bishnah is seldom seen in the centre and her helper also opens the centre at 11 AM causing inconvenience to the people.
Moreover, the Sub Centre is running in a rented building and as people are not being able to avail the health services, the state exchequer suffers huge losses. Residents told that the Sub Centre is catering three village including Chak Majra, Pandoorian and Pasgal. They said the summer has started and there will be cases of snake bites etc and a defunct centre will endanger huma
lives. They alleged that the Multipurpose worker is posted to serve the people of the area but she is allegedly enjoying at her home and numbers of requests have been made to higher and concern ups but nothing has been done so far by the higher officials. They also said people of above said area are suffering from various health issues and being forced to visit Sub District Hospital Bishnah which is 9 to 10 Kilometer far from the area.
A multipurpose worker has held hostage residents of three villages in Pasgal block by staying away from the centre.
"Let me check first and verify the matter then I will take action against the above said person," said Block Medical Officer (BMO) Bishnah Dr Balkari Singh Choudhary.
