NEXAS to Pay Tributes to Martyr Lt. Ummer Fayaz
5/18/2017 11:18:35 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, May 18: NEXAS offers rich tribute to Lt. Ummer Fayaz, who was abducted and killed by the militants in an appalling act of cowardice after kidnapping him from the marriage party of his cousin last week.
The NEXAS - 'Sainik School Nagrota Ex-Students Association', shall organize a CANDLE LIGHT VIGIL at BALIDAN STAMBH on Saturday, May 20, 2017.
NEXAS further takes this opportunity to vehemently condemn the inhuman and dastardly act of mutilating and beheading of BSF Head Constable Prem Sagar and Army Jawan Naib Subedar Paramjit Singh.
The NEXANS intend to reach out to the family of Lt. Ummer in this time of grief and also to sensitize the civil society to the sacrifice of this brave officer who succumbed to sheer cowardice of the militants.
The candle light vigil shall be conducted at the above mentioned venue from 6PM onwards, in which students, professionals, representatives of the civil society shall join NEXANS.
It is pertinent to mention here that NEXAN family, which has majority of its members in the Services, has been making efforts to sensitize the civil society in general and the young generation in particular to value and respect the sacrifices of our martyrs who sacrifice their lives in the honour of their motherland.
NEXAS feels that Lt. Ummer Fayaz, who hailed from militancy infested Kulgam district of Kashmir and was commissioned in 2nd Rajputana Rifles as a young officer has emerged as the role model for the Kashmiri youth and his cold blooded murder would continue to shame and humiliate the militants who try to gain high moral ground in justifying their dastardly acts.
Besides Chairman NEXAS; Randhir Billawaria the meeting was attended by Executive members; Aman Sharma, Hardeep Singh, Sushant Basotra, Sanjay Jena, Veer and Rohit Chowdhary.
Nexas appealed to the civil society to come forward in large numbers to express solidarity and pay homage and tribute to our brave Martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
