Poonch, May 18: Reflecting official neglect, Govt educational institutions in Harni zone of Mendhar which mostly remain closed during working days putting young buds at stake sources said here today.
sources said district administration have fialed to take cognizance of absenteeism culture in government schools situated in far ooff areas as a result most of the schools remain closed unnecessarily putting the career of young students at stake who wait for hours together for teachers and return home without attending the classes sources added.
In a such grusome example, Govt primary school of Mohalla Gujjran in Kangra Gulta was found today closed at 10:30 am students wait there for teacher but nobody turned up. The parents of the children alleged that this school has only two teachers where as one teacher has been attached dispite ban on attachments and another has proceeded for leave. They said our children were the worst sufferers whose future seems to be dark due to lackadiasical approach of the teaching staff. It is a story of several schools situated in far off areas of the district where staff is not punctual, they further alleged.
When contacted Zonal Educational officer Raj Kumari, who failed to respond the call Early Times talked to Chief Education Officer Poonch Lal Hussain who confirmed the school was closed unofficially and asked the ZEO to submit the report as why the school was closed during working day. He assured an official action against the staff of said school as soon as he receive the report, CEO informed.
Meanwhile Youth club Mendhar chairman advocate Nadeem Khan urged district administration to constitute a team to prove unauthorised attachment of teachers and irresponsible attitude of teaching staff of far flung areas of the district where absenteeism is at peak.
Several schools remain closed on working days in Harni thus reflecting official neglect.
