jammu, May 18: In an already cash starved state, Chief Education Officer (CEO) office Samba has spent over Rs 1.50 lakh without any written record, sources within the department shared.
According to sources, the CEO office Samba had organised frequent camps for Children With Special Needs (CWSN) at different zones in 2011-12.
"In these assessment and training camps, the CEO office Samba claimed to have spent over Rs 1.50 lakh, but there is not record maintained anywhere of these expenditure," said sources, adding that even the ledger book and cash book remain untouched.
The various expenditures, which the CEO office claimed to have made included honorarium to doctors, st
tionary bills, refreshment, sanitation charges, bus fair, attendant payment, seating arrangements, sound system and resources persons.

The bills released by the CEO office claimed that all these expenditures were made on record, but no official document has been prepared in the office.

The signatory to the expenditure sheet, which the CEO claims as the record has been signed by ZEO Ghagwal, ZEO Samba and ZEPO Ghagwal. In the garb of this expenditure sheet, the CEO office managed to release money, as they had no ledger and cash book maintained.
