Jammu, May 18: Jat Kalyan Sabha executive members under the chairmanship of its President Ch. Kamal Singh today visited the areas of Nowshera sector affected by unprovoked Pak shelling/firing.
Ch Kamal Singh visited the migrant camps of the victims affected by shelling along the LoC in Nowshera sector. He condemned the unprovoked firing by Pakistan targeting civilians.
Ch Kamal said that Pak army personnel have gone to such a low level that they are deliberately targeting the residential areas, in which the women, children and elderly people are badly affected. "Due to this unprovoked shelling the border people are losing their dwellings along with live-stocks. The schools of border areas have remained closed for many days, and this has serious implication on the students," he said and added that all these incidents of unprovoked firing on civilian population are unacceptable.
Ch. Kamal Singh demanded immediate relief for people of border areas who suffered due to Pak firing. He demanded martyr status to people who lost their lives in Pak firing along with compensation of Rs. 50 lakh and Government job to the next kith and kin, 20 % reservation in para-military forces/JKP along with special recruitment for border area with relaxation in age and education, special recruitment drive in Armed Forces for the youth of border along with relaxation in age and education, community bunkers for the border area people.
