5/20/2017 12:05:20 AM
Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, May 19: Government is yet to take action against the illegal promotees of Education department who were promoted as Junior Assistants inspite of the fact that they failed to qualify the requisite type test. The aggrieved officials of Education Department who are well qualified but serve as class IV employees have now appealed Education Minister to come to their rescue.
As reported already by Early Times Directorate of School Education Kashmir in a case of brazen violation of Government norms some 3 years back promoted more than four dozen class IV employees of Education Department in Anantnag and Budgam as In-charge Junior Assistants. The then Director School Education Kashmir Mir Tariq Ali had issued these orders but till date none of them has passed the mandatory type test
Details available with Early Times reveal that under SRO 308 of 2008 Dated 16.10.2008 25 % posts of Junior Assistants were kept reserved for class IV employees of the Education Department who are matriculate with diploma in computers . It is mandatory for these officials to pass the basic type test within a period of 4 months.
Sources say that the then Director School Education Kashmir Mir Tariq Ali promoted as many as 50 such Class IV employees as Junior Assistants in Budgam and Anantnag districts , but the Directorate failed to conduct their type test. It was few months back wh
Do justice!
We have been requesting authorities to conduct our type test but nobody is bothered & on the other hand those people have been promoted from class IV to Junior assistants who cannot even write A B C on a computer. We appeal newly appointed Education Minister Syed Altaf Bukhari to intervene and do justice.
en 19 class IV employees of Budgam appeared for the type test , but all of them failed during that test.
As per reliable sources former Director of School Education Kashmir Mir Tariq Ali allegedly took money from the class IV employees at his residence way back in 2013 and issued orders of their promotion vide order number: 2150 DSEK of 2013 Dated: 07/11/2013. The order clearly says that till the class IV employees qualify the type test within a period of 4 months from the date of issuance of order , they cannot confer any claim /benefit for such placement and in case of failure the placement order shall be deemed as rescinded obinitio. Incidentally class IV employees in Education Department appointed 5 years back many of whom are graduates and even post graduates are moving from pillar to post for redressal of their genuine demands. They want to be tested for their typing skills so that they could be promoted, but nobody pays any heed towards their genuine demands
"We have been requesting authorities to conduct our type test, but nobody is bothered & on the other hand those people have been promoted from class IV to Junior assistants who cannot even write A B C on a computer. We appeal newly appointed Education Minister Syed Altaf Bukhari to intervene and give us justice" said Fayaz Ahmad a post graduate (name changed) working as class IV employee in Education Department Anantnag.
