Seniors sit idle, juniors hold administrative posts

Jammu, Aug 23: 'Humiliating' professors' the administration of University of Jammu placed juniors to lead administrative positions in the varsity.
According to sources eight senior professors out of top 15 in seniority list are sitting idle, while juniors are leading several administrative positions.
"Dr Neelam Saraf, Dr Archana Kesar, Dr Meena Sharma, Dr Manoj Kumar Dhar, Dr Rajni DHingra, Dr Geeta Sumbari, Dr Anita Kumari, Dr Naresh Padha are among in top 15 in the seniority list of professors, have been ignored by the administration while allotting various administration positions", said a senior professor whishing not to be named.
He further said that even the administration replaced professors to accommodate blue eyed associate professor at several positions. "Professor Prikshat Manhas was holding the post of Associate Dean, but few days after taking up the rein the Vice Chancellor, removed Professor Manhas and posted an Associate Professor against the post", the professor said.
"Dr Dipanker Sengupta, no 39 in seniority list, has been made Dean Student Placement, Dr Hardeep Chahal, no 59 holding post of Reactor, Udhampur Campus, Dr Satnam Kour Raina no 60 holding the post of Dean Student Welfare (DSW), Dr Avtar Singh no 66 holds post of Director Physical Education, Dr Vibhakar Mansotra no 69 holds post of Director IT, Dr Mubarak Singh no 73 holding post of Director Ramnagar Campus, Dr Haq Nawaz Sheikh no 78 Director Kishtwar and Dr Prakash Chand Director Patnitop campus", sources said and added that the university has become worse victim of nepotism.
