Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 19: The Staff including doctors of the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu expressed resentment against the officials of the Vigilance Organization for entering in Operation Theater of the Surgery Department.
As per information, the officials of the State Vigilance Organization (SVO) conducted a Joint Surprise Check (JSC) in the OY of the Surgery department from last two days and numbers of files and records were checked as well as seized by officials. The drive led to resentment among the staff and doctors as officials entered in highly sensitive area without taking permission and following mandatory caution.
"From Monday morning, surgeries were being conducted by the doctors in hygienic and germ free OT but suddenly, few officials of the above-said organization entered in the OT without wearing clean wears which may prove dangerous for the patients, "senior doctor said.
He also said that yesterday, a verbal complaint was registered before Deputy Medical Superintendent and Principal of the GMC&H Jammu but despite informing, they again entered in OT of the same department without consulting anyone, which has forced staff including doctors to assemble in the chamber of Principal of the college.
A strong resentment against the drive was expressed by the staff during a meeting with Principal and officials of the Vigilance organization. The officials of the organization agreed to the demands of the staff and assured that proper procedure will be followed next time.
