JKAACL holds Multilingual Mushaira

Ramban, Sept 19: A district Level Multilingual Mushaira was today organised by the J&K Academy of Arts, Culture & Languages (JKAACL), Sub- Office, Doda in collaboration with the Government Degree College (GDC), Ramban at GDC Ramban.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Gurvinder Jeet Singh was the chief guest where as renowned Urdu poet of Doda, Farid Ahmed Zargar alias Faridi presided over the Mushaira and Principal, Degree College, Ramban Dr. RK Tikoo was the guest of honour on the occasion. The chief guest alongwith other dignitaries inaugurated Mushaira by lighting the traditional lamp in the presence of huge audience.
Speaking on the occasion ADC lauded the efforts of the JKAACL, Sub-Office, Doda for organising Multilingual Mushaira at GDC Ramban of Chenab valley which would encourage the youth of Ramban District to participate in such literary functions and develop the taste for it.
Farid Ahmed Zargar after reciting his number of Shers(verses) in Urdu lauded the efforts of the JKAACL in promoting the local dialects of Ramban district besides Urdu and Kashmiri languages.He hoped that such cultural programmes would go a long way in understanding the culture of Ramban district especially among the young generation.
