Four drug peddlers held with 19.5 kg charas

Jammu, Sept 19: In continuation to operation 'Sanjeevani', a special drive against drugs launched by SSP Jammu, today Nagrota Police achieved a major success by apprehending four accused persons along with 19.5 Kg Charas.
Police spokesman said that today Nagrota Police while on Naka Duty at toll Plaza signalled one Santro car coming from Srinagar to Jammu for Police check.
"During search of vehicle, Police party recovered 19.5 Kgs Charas like substance," said sources adding that in this regard a case under FIR No 206/2017 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and further investigation of the case is going on.
The arrest and recovery was made by team comprising of HC Parvez Ahmed, Ct. Anil Kumar, Ct. Ashwani Kumar, Ct. Mohd Ramzan, Ct. Rakesh kumar and Ct. Amandeep under the supervision of SHO Police Station Inspector Bhushan Singh Manhas, SDPO Nagrota Yashbir Singh Slathia and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
