Saini Biradari supports demand of holiday on Maharaja's birthday

Jammu, Sept 19: A meeting of Saini Biradari was held recently at Bishnah under the chairmanship of Dr. Kamal Saini IPS IGP (Retd). The meeting was attended by the prominent persons of the Biradari. It was unanimously resolved in the meeting that J&K Govt. should declare the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh has state holiday.
MaharajaHari Singh was the secular, reformist and a liberal ruler of our state. He was respected by the masses. He was the first in the country to abolish untouchability in the state and gave equal rights to his subjects without any caste, creed and colour. During his regime he introduced many reforms in the state. He was instrumental in merging the state with union of India during 1947. The prominent persons who attended the meeting were Brig. S. S. Saini (President of Saini Biradari), Yashpal Saini (General Secretary), Ghar Singh Saini (General Secretary), Onkar Singh Saini, Kailash Saini (Vice President Youth wing), Parshotam Saini and others.
