PDP office bearer among 2 booked for threatening social worker

Jammu, Sept 19: Following the court directions, Peer Mitha Police today registered a case against an office bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ashiq Hussain- son of Ghulam Hassan Khan and another accused Qamar Ali son of Abdul Qasim both residents of Mohallah Dalpatian Jammu.
The court ordered the SHO Police Station Peer Mitha to register a FIR as the cognizable offence U/S 341 /325/606 of RPC and any other section in the light of the facts and circumstances described here under in terms of 156 (3) CrPC and to investigate the matter as cognizable offence has been committed by the accused persons and produced the challan in the court of law for trial.
Complaint reads that the complainant who is also social worker and President of Muslim Development Forum (JK) Jammu and is fighting for extension and widening of road from Rajinder Bazar to Talab Khatikan Jama Masjid Jammu.
As a result of the efforts of the complainant, the road got widened and some of the structures of the accused got demolished by the Municipal Authorities as a result of which the accused were angry with the complainant and were holding ill will against him, the complaint reads.
Under these circumstances the accused have formed a group which time and again threatens the complainant.
"On 30.07.17 at about 6 PM when the complainant was going to his shop at Talab Khatikan both the accused suddenly came in front of him and prevented the complainant from moving further and abused and pushed him violently. They also threatened to kill him in case he goes to the municipal authorities again to complain about the area opposite Taj Hotel that has been allotted to them," the complaint alleges.
