Party colleagues give sleepless nights to BJP ministers

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 19: As the speculations of a possible reshuffle in council of ministry gives sleepless nights to the incumbent BJP ministers in the Mehbooba Mufti-led coalition Government, their own party colleagues have turned to be the main complainants against them.
While there is a widespread discontent among common masses against the poor performance of BJP ministers, the party colleagues are most vociferous in negative campaign against these ministers. Not only the MLAs and MLCs, even those BJP functionaries, who are not member of any of the two Houses, are also openly raising voice of discontent against the party ministers.
The discontent within party against the BJP ministers has also reached to the high command, which has taken a very serious notice of the alleged high headedness of the ministers.
According to the sources in BJP circles, maximum BJP ministers have lodged complaint against their colleague, who is new entrant in the party while another minister, who is second time MLA, is the other most unwanted. Interestingly, the BJP cadre is more aggrieved from the minister, who is second time MLA and not the new entrant.
While the BJP functionaries and legislators have complaints against their party ministers, some of the ministers are smart enough to lodge counter complaints against the party MLAs, alleging that they were not allowing execution of work in their respective constituencies over the issue of selective contractors.
An MLA has complained to the party that he is not invited in any official functions in his own constituency where a particular minister, who also belongs to the same constituency, is made chief guest. According to the complainant MLA, the minister has issued special instructions to all the departments not to invite the former in any official function where the later is chief guest.
The infighting can be gauged from the fact that a BJP legislator, who is holding a top Constitutional position, has complained that the local MLA and State BJP president was intentionally not allowing work in a lane to his house.
The allegations and counter allegations have taken a chaos like situation in ruling BJP and the same is likely to further intensify in the forthcoming days till a reshuffle in ministry takes place, sources opined.
