Vijaypur, Dec 10: Senior Congress leader Arun Sharma today organized monthly meeting of party workers at Vijaypur. A large number of Congress workers from entire Samba district participated in the meeting, wherein several public and organizational issues were highlighted.
Some prominent Congress workers in the meeting drew attention towards the problems being faced by people due to insensitive attitude of the State Government and concerned authorities. They highlighted the public grievances like bad conditions of rural roads, irregular power and water supply, non-availability of teachers in village schools and virtually no transportation in several Kandi belts.
While addressing the meeting, Arun Sharma charged the BJP-PDP Government with failure on all fronts and said that people were repenting for their vote to these two parties during the last Assembly elections.
Maintaining that only Congress can provide a pro-people and secular Government in J&K, Arun Sharma exhorted the party workers to gear up for the forthcoming Panchayat elections, which are likely to be announced soon in the State.
