Chaman Lal Gupta Foundation give away 'Rudra Awards'

Jammu, Dec 10: Rudra Award- One of the Awards of Excellence in the various fields of activities, viz.- Science/Technology Education & Research, Sports, Art and Culture, Journalism and Social Services in the Jammu Province was conferred by Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta Foundation in Association with Greater Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha and Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha today at Abhinav Theater Jammu.
The Rudra Award was conferred and announced in various categories, on the auspicious occasion of 151st Birth Anniversary of Lala Hans Raj Mahajan, a great social Reformer and founder Member of Mahajan Sabha, Dogra Saddar Sabha and Kashap Rajput Sabha.
SP Langer President GJCMS along with Romesh Gupta President Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha welcomed the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. Anil Gupta (Chief Coordinator GJCMS) while describing the Rudra Awards said that the objective is to acknowledge the achievements and recognize the extra ordinary services rendered to society by the youth of the State. Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta Foundation shall be always at the forefront to support and extend its helping hand to talented youth who have the potential to excel in various activities of life. The Rudra Award of Excellence in the Field of Education as approved by Prominent Jury consist of Prof. Rahul Gupta (Dean Mathematical Sciences, Department of Mathematics, University of Jammu), Prof. Aarti Bakshi (HOD, Department of Psychology, University of Jammu), Prof. Seema Langer (HOD, Department of Zoology, University of Jammu, Prof. Sucheta Pathania (HOD, Department of English, University of Jammu), Prof. Seema Sudan (Prof. in Hindi, Govt. Degree College, Bishnah) was presented to Dr. Rakesh Panjaliya (Asst. Professor, Department of Zoology, University of Jammu) for his research work in Human Genetics and allied field.
The Rudra Award for Excellence in Journalism as approved by renowned Journalist consist of Raju Kerni (Bureau Chief, Zee News), Sanjeet Khajuria (Producer News Section, Doordarshan , Jammu), MK Bangroo ( Ex. Bureau Chief PTI, Free Lance Journalist), Jyoti Pachananda (Bureau Chief , Sahara News) for his professionalism and contribution to society as impartial journalist. In Social service as approved by Jury of renowned social workers consist of Dr. Kuldeep (C/o Sanskar Bharti), Shaminder (Retd. Director All India Radio), Vikas (C/o Adivakta Parishad), Nagarmal (Social Worker), Dr. Jatinder (Social Worker) was presented to VK Bhagotra for his untiring services to Home for Aged & Infirm.
Rudra Award for Excellence in Sports as approved by Jury consist prominent sportspersons Ranjeet Kalra (Member Sports Council), Kuldeep Gupta (Kabaddi Association), Arun Malhotra (International Footballer), Kuldeep Handoo (National Team Coach), Rajesh Gill (Former Ranji Player) was presented to Rajinder Singh for his outstanding achievements in Sports.
Rudra Award for Excellence in Art and Culture as approved by prominent Jury of renowned citizens Prof Lalit Mangotra (Retd) Former President Dogri Sanstha, Jammu, Chhaterpal (President Viklang Chhatra Cheritable Trust), Dr. Kiran Bakshi (Principal Government College of Education, Jammu), Dr. Jattinder Udhampuri (Former Additional Director General, All India Radio). Anil Padha (Former Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society) was presented to Janak Khajuria, a famous Radio and Theater Artist.
The Speed Ball Players who performed well in many tournaments were honored along with coach and the Team.
The Players Are Mradima Gupta, Mansi Slathia, Manpreet Kour, Rekha, Rahul Meenia, Gurmanjeet Singh, Aditya Aithmia, Sahil Janjua, And The Coach Mr. Sunny Nanda (Gen. Sec. Jksba)
Life Time Achievement Award was presented to Brig Suchet Singh (eminent RSS Leader), Raj Bharti (Social Activist), Bhagwat Swaroop (RSS Leader).
