Banihal Congress leader embarrasses Sonia-Rahul
JNU Bharat Tere Tukde honge episode
12/13/2017 11:27:21 PM

Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 13: Banihal Congress leader Salman Nizami has embarrassed Congress high command - Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and that too before the second phase of election in Gujarat on Thursday. Reports emanating from Delhi suggest that Nizami was one of the main architects of the JNU "Bharat Tere Tukde Honge" episode
According to a report based on Intelligence Bureau (IB) officials, "Salman Nizami actively participated in igniting the Kashmir students studying in the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and was behind funding and harboring them".
Nizami, who had addressed the JNU students, also had close links with Congress top leader Digvijay Singh whose own murky role had also created chaos in JNU by aligning with "these kinds of anti-national forces".
As per the information, "the JNU's controversial Afzal Guru remembrance ceremony in February 2016 was actively supported by Salman Nizami and he was actively associated with student leaders like Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid, Anirban Bhattacharya and Shehla Rashid, a student from Kashmir. The IB officials have indicated that "Salman Nizami had collected funds for igniting JNU students from Kashmir and harbored them in safe zones" and that "he was in touch with many journalists in Kashmir and New Delhi". "His mobile call records also show that he was in regular touch with them in creating faking news to create panic," The IB officials have also suggested.
It needs to be recalled that Salman Nizami was associated with press and belongs to Banihal. He is son of local Congress leader. Later, he was appointed Congress Spokesperson. His tweets were so venomous and Jihadi-style when terrorist Afzal Guru was hanged. He was spewing venom against the then President Pranab Mukherjee for the hanging of Afzal Guru and abusing Indian Army, and openly advocating freedom of Kashmir. Yet the Congress party appointed him Spokesperson in 2014. Why because he was a "close aide of Ghulam Nabi Azad".
Salman Nizami is also named in the First Information Report (FIR) for irregularities in the National Health Rural Mission projects when Ghulam Nabi Azad was Union Health Minister.
Reacting to the reports, the BJP has said it was time for the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to probe into the affairs of this terror supporter Youth Congress leader Salman Nizami" and that the "Congress cannot wash off its association with him".
