Jammu, Dec 14: To tap the talent at the grass root level, Tawi Trekkers J&K, the premier adventure organisation of J&K in collaboration with Sprawling Buds ICSE School, Bantalab, Jammu, shall organize an Open J&K State Sport Climbing competition at Tenzing Norgay Sport Climbing Wall in the school complex on 23rd December, 2017. Since it is part of club's efforts to tap hidden talent in the budding climbers, only fresh climbers, both boys and girls, up to the age of 16 years (born in 2001 and after) are eligible to compete in the competition. However, to strengthen the state women team, girls born in 2000 and earlier who are not Zonal medallists shall be allowed to participate in the competition. Besides, in all other categories also the Zonal Medallists are not eligible for participation. The club has planned to depute the winners of this competition for participation in the Monthly Series of Sport Climbing competitions being organized by Indian Mountaineering Foundation North Zone Committee at different venues in the north zone.
