State Government has failed on all fronts: Sharief Niaz
1/21/2018 10:36:18 PM
Early Times Report
Bhaderwah, Jan 21: Hitting out at ruling PDP-BJP coalition in Jammu and Kashmir, Senior Congress leader and former Minister Mohammad Sharief Niaz today said their government has failed on all fronts.
"Even after completing more than 3 years in the government it has failed to deliver on the promises" Naiz said at a party workers meet at Thanala Malsoo area of Bhaderwah where dozens of PDP and BJP workers joined Congress.
He alleged that 'the coalition partners were finding it difficult to reduce the trust deficit between them due to ideological differences but the controversies, courted by them, also had a negative impact on governance and public delivery.' The present government is hell bent to keep ration beyond the reach of poor people whom they exploited during elections by making false slogans like food for all and poverty for none," he said.
Niaz said that the two parties had hidden understanding before the election to polarize the sentiments of people of Kashmir and Jammu regions as part of their strategy in which they succeeded, as the people could not understand the politics of deception for the sake of electoral gains Launching a scathing attack on the government, he said this sudden increase in the rate of sugar by 85% for BPL families has exposed the anti poor face of BJP-PDP government.
He alleged the PDP-BJP leaders are busy only in delivering sermons and repeating of repeated hallow claims. However, he said the fact remains that developmental activities are almost invisible everywhere especially in Bhaderwah constituency and no concrete measures are taken to address the issues of livelihood.
Former MLA Bhaderwah Mohd Sharief Niaz urged upon the cadres to remain steadfast in service of the people, for the fact, Congress is not only a political organization, but an instrument of service to the people and it will continue to serve people to the best of its ability. Suhail Malik city president , Ashok Kotwal block president, Sartaj Ahmed ex Sarpanch , Sardar Mohd ,Imran Tariq , Zohar Fazal , Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmed and other also spoke on the occasion.
