20th J&K State Kyorugi/ Poomsae Taekwondo C'ship 2017-18 organised

Jammu, Feb 18: Jammu & Kashmir Taekwondo Association in Collaboration with J&K Sports Council organized "20th J&K State (Sub-Junior/ Cadet/Junior / Senior ) Kyorugi/ Poomsae Taekwondo Championship 2017-18" andUnder the aegis of Taekwondo Federation of India recognized by Jammu and Kashmir Olympics Association, India Olympics Association.
Around 800 players/officials are participating in this championship and players from the whole Jammu & Kashmir State showcase their skills.
The Chief Guest of the Opening ceremony was Ranjeet Kalra Vice Chairman Jammu, J&K Sports Council. While speaking on the occasion congratulated all the participants/organizers and wished more achievements to this sport in future moreover he also assured to provide help to the Sports which uplift the caliber of an individual. Naveen Kumar Chief Conservator (IFS) as Guest of honor.
Special Guest D.N Pangotra General Secretary JKTA, Satish Gupta Manager Indoor Complex M.A Stadium,Sh Anil Kumar Wadhera (Boxing Coach), Sh S.Surjit Singh (Major)Indian Army, Sh Ankush Sharma, Vikas Abrol Senior Correspondent, Varinder Sharma (Judo).
From this state Championship the best team will be selected which is going to represent J&K in the forth coming Sub Junior Nationals which are going to be held in Pune from 22-March to 25th March 2018.
The technical team is being headed by Atul Pangotra (NIS) TFI Chairman Referee Committee , International Referee with his team of officials as ,Brinder Singh Manahas Sarbjeet Singh( Chandigarh, Anu Priya Chandighar,Rahul Verma,Zaheer Abass,Chand Mohd Chandighar,Mohd Ali, Safdar Ali, Anil Singh Parihar, Nirender Sharma, Bilal Majid ,Sourav Sharma, Arvind Satti, Amit Kumar, Lalita Chandighar,Sunil Vaid, and Bazila Mushtaq Dar.
The opening ceremony hosted by Rajinder Singh.
