Early Times Report

Jammu, May 23: The sprawling buds of APS Kaluchak enthralled the audience with their smashing smiles, vibrant attires and stellar performances by showcasing a phenomenal 'Ramp Show' on 'Fusion of Mythologies'. This event was the first initiative taken up by the school under the 'British Council Activity' as a step to develop cross cultural competency and appreciation for different cultures among the children.
The young and zealous students from classes 3 rd to 6th portrayed some of the famous figures from India and Greece that shared a striking similarity with each other. The spectators were blown away by the electrifying performances of the tiny tots. Their unwavering confidence, speech delivery, vibrant costumes and accessories were the hallmarks of this divine and mystic show. It was an attempt to enlighten the masses about the diverse cultures, mythologies and figures so as to embed qualities of tolerance, reverence and admiration in them. The children beautifully depicted both the mythologies by bringing forth some astounding similarities in the characters. Just like Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon, they depicted the Holy Trinity- Brahma,Vishnu and Mahesh. Kronos, the father of Greek Gods and Titans, was followed by Rishi Kashyap- the father of Devas & Asuras. Achilles, the greatest warrior shared the stage with the invincible-Lord Krishna. Narada and Hermes were shown as messengers of God. Hera, Athena and Demeter were followed by Lakshmi, Saraswati and Annpurna. The cutest pair of Icarus and Daedalus was accompanied by Jatayu and Sampati. Mount Olympus and Mount Meru were also displayed as an abode of these figures.
