It is pertinent to mention that despite losing several lives, over loading of passenger vehicles goes unchecked in majority of areas in Kishtwar District.
As per the details available with Early Times, ARTO Kishtwar issues notices to several passenger vehicle owners for violating motor vehicle act 1988, 1979 MVA, 194, 184 MVA seeking explanation from them within a week.

Similarly a bus bearing Registration No. JK17-6541 was also seen overloaded with passengers at roof top of the vehicle while some passengers were also seen hanging at the back of the vehicle.
