Jammu, Aug 28: Udhampur Police has allegedly misled Governor's grievances cell in reply of complaint filed by victim as the former didn't recorded the statement of later, as in mentioned in the reply.
Nasreen Akhtar, the complainant, who filed a complaint in Jammu & Kashmir Online Public Grievance Monitoring System, said that the she was not summoned by Police before filing report to Grievances cell. "Several Police Officers, who are hand in glove with Contractor, Gulam Nabi, who is threatening me and my family, deliberately delayed their report", she said.
"I filed report seeking registration of FIR Gulam Nabi who is threatening me, but again I was denied justice", she said.
She stated that on July 2017 she purchased a piece of land near Vikas Palace, Udhampur from Gulam Nabi and thereafter in year 2017 she started the construction work of her house. Meanwhile Gulam Nabi came there and forcibly stopped the construction work. On this case FIR Number 34/2017 U/S 447/382,323 RPC stand registered at P/S Udhampur against him, which is subjudice before the court of Law. She stated that the accused Gulam Nabi forced/threatened her to drop the said case and change her statement in the court.
She said she visited Police Station Udhampur time and again to get her statement recorded but the SHO did not record it. "Few days back, a constable, Ratan Singh penned downed some of point she raised, which was an attempt to somehow send the report to Governor's cell", she said.
When contacted, SSP Udhampur, Rayees Bhat said, "If it has happened, the concerned officer will certainly face action".
