Ugly face of Pak sponsored terror exposed
Mehbooba make yet another attempt to appease terror bosses, separatists
8/31/2018 11:39:06 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 31: Terrorists abducting as many as eleven family members of policemen in south Kashmir has brought the ugly face of Pakistan sponsored terrorism to fore in the state.
Terrorists targeting the family members, who have no control over the situation, has proved that they can go to any extent to make the lives of common people difficult on the instructions of their bosses sitting across the Line of Control.
Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti instead of condemning the abduction of the family members of the policemen put the security forces and the terrorists in the same bracket by stating that both the terrorists and security forces are victimising each other's families which is highly condemnable and marks a new low in the situation of the state. "Families shouldn't become the target of casualties and made to suffer for something they have little control over," she said.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said that it's unfortunate that despite Mehbooba Mufti holding the top most of the state is talking in a "language of Pakistan." "She is equating security forces with the terrorists. It's not acceptable," he added.
He said that the so-called champions of human rights the separatists in Kashmir have not even uttered a word to condemn the abductions of the innocents by the terrorists. "Someone needs to ask them is this not a human rights violation that kin of policemen are being kidnapped and harassed for no fault of theirs. These separatists know it very well that if they utter a word against the terrorists they could be the next targets," the analyst added.
There are reports that besides abducting the kin of policemen terrorists have also barged into the residences of the cops and have beaten their family members mercilessly. "Pakistan has succeeded in its mission to pit a Kashmiri against a Kashmiri. The J&K policemen are Kashmiris and the terrorists too are Kashmiris. Is this the Azadi which a few miscreants are propagating. It's unfortunate that hate is begetting hate," said a politician.
He said that Pakistan stooges have stitched their lips as they don't want to annoy their bosses sitting in Pakistan. "Their definition of human rights violations is one sided only. For them terrorists are saints and they are free to do anything," the politician added.
Former Jammu and Kashmir chief Minister and National Conference Vice- President Omar Abdullah said that the abductions of eleven relatives of policemen was a "very worrying reflection of situation in the valley".
He also took a dig at the separatist camp for "being silent" on the issue.
"What's worse is the selective outrage - people/leaders who are so vocal about alleged security force excesses are silent about these abductions," Omar wrote in twitter.
