1 Day Farmers Training camp organized at Border Village Makwal

Jammu, Sept 8: Continuing the series Farmers Training Centre, Jammu organized One Day Farmers Awareness Camp at border village Makwal in Phallain Mandal of Marh Sub-Division of Jammu District in which 50 farmers and farm women of the area participated today. Speaking on the occasion Farm Management Specialist Deepak Kumar and Training Officer FTC, Sermesh Ghasi asked the farmers to avail the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY), Kisan Credit Cards Scheme (KCCS), Soil Health Card Scheme (SHCS), Sub-Mission on Agriculture Mechanization (SMAM) and various other State Sector Schemes for the farmer's welfare. On the occasion farmers were advised the farmers to adopt the Improved Agricultural Practices and Technological Interventions especially through value additions and market oriented production to raise their income. AEO Zone Phallian Mandal Sanjay Dhar speaking on the occasion elaborated on various ongoing Centrally Sponsored and State Sector Farmers Welfare Schemes and Programmes. He stressed on shifting to Integrated Farming System through adoption of vermi-composting, establishment of Green House Structures and organic farming. The others who spoke in the camps include Vikas Joshi AEA, Ravi Kant AEA besides others. Small Hand Tools, refreshment and literature on various schemes and programmes for the awareness of the farmers was also distributed on the occasion.
