Security Forces Launch Search Operation in Pulwama District

The security forces are conducting a cordon and search operation in the villages of Pulwama in south Kashmir. According to news agency the cordon and search operation was launched on Saturday morning and is underway in the Pulwama district.

On Friday, two days after terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen asked Kashmiris to quit security forces, intelligence agencies and central government jobs, three Special Police Officers (SPOs) and one Jammu and Kashmir police personnel were abducted by terrorists in Shopian district.


The two villages from where the policemen were kidnapped are Kaprin and Batagund.

The three Special Police Officers (SPOs) who were abducted by terrorists in Shopian district were murdered causing outrage in the Jammu and Kashmir police. One Jammu and Kashmir police personnel, who was abducted along with the 3 SPOs was released. Three SPOs Martyred After Being Abducted by Terrorists, Bodies Found in Shopian in South Kashmir.

The dead bodies of the SPOs were found in Shopian in North Kashmir. The martyred SPOs have been identified as Kuldeep Singh, Nisar Ahmad Bhat and Firsoud Ahmed Kouchey. Jammu and Kashmir: 10 Officers Resign From Police Force, Home Ministry Calls Reports 'Untrue'.

In a video message released on Tuesday, Hizbul Mujahideen threatened to kill every Kashmiri working for Jammu and Kashmir Police, Indian Army and all other security forces as well as the central government if they did not resign within the next four days.

The warning was reportedly issued by Umar Ibn Khitaab, the spokeperson of the terror outfit. Martyred BSF Jawan Narender Kumar's Son Demands Action From Authorities, Asks 'How Long Will We Keep Feeling Proud?'

On Wednesday, a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was mutilated by Pakistani forces along the international border (IB) near Jammu on Tuesday night. The body of Head Constable Narender Kumar reportedly bore three bullet marks, his throat was slit while his eyes were gouged out.
