Voters still shackled by casteism

ust to cry for the problems, it has become the habit of we people, without looking for the viable solution, we jump straight way to the system in prevalence and first target is always the political system. No doubt political system continuously gives place to the inefficient, illiterate and tainted politicians in the system. Political system is made by the politicians and is formed by the votes that are cast by local people and among them are non serious populations that spoil the whole system. But if someone is really honest to bring a change in the system, it is the voters of the country, who are still not prepared to come out of the mean mentality based on caste and creed system and when they get the chance to usher in a change in the system, they remain confined to the four walls of their mean-mentality and surrender to the same political hawks that we condemn in every conversation. This way we are spoiling our fundamental right of voting and it flash a message that democracy is nothing more than a convenient myth to confer an illusion of absolutism to an arbitrary and cunning political game of power transfer.
A neutral study on the political setup conclude that across the country every political mind has only one mission as how to win the election, how to maintain his supremacy, how to project himself as only living god for the common man, how to degrade their competitors in the political field and this way they are spoiling the social fabric of the society for their sustenance and survival. There is one thing in the system that never changes and it is the habit of cribbing. People keep on cribbing about the problems that they are facing in the system. But no one wants to take an initiative to start the change. So simply none else but we have to blame our self for the reason of our backwardness. It is the attitude of the voters of the country which is to be blamed. Here the citizens have to take an initiative as it is the citizens who are required to be innovative and it is the responsibility of educated and not literate class to take an initiative. Education is a very broad term it means not only knowing how to read and write, but also the general social, spiritual, sanitary, behavioral awareness and some skill. Literacy, on the other hand, is a small part of the definition of education. If one is just literate but not educated, one knows how to read and write but nothing more. That person lacks social behavior or common sense. The literate class always looks for the third moon and educated class has kept itself aloof in the political set up and this educated class has to come out from deep slumber for a developed society. How this educated class feels itself comfortable being ruled by illiterate, inexperienced, criminals, corrupt and wicked politicians is beyond thinking. Their psychology required to be doctorate upon to find out the reasons their off.
In democracy, it is not adequate to notify about election dates. In order to cognizant the electorates informed arrangements are indispensable. It is essential to sharpen them about the importance of participating in the electoral process. Moreover, voters need to be educated about the process and made aware of the political parties, their manifestos, backgrounds of the contesting candidates and equip the voters with other information to help voters to cast a civilized vote. Poorly informed voters are basically responsible for the bad polite of the country. Trust in the institutions of democracy is also visibly declining. My experiences say that for all the criminalization we ourselves and voters are responsible. We must understand the value of our votes. We as a citizen owe a responsibility to elect a good leader who should think for our country than for his own greed. But bad luck for the country we flow in emotion and we give our votes to those who are of our same caste or they are our neighborhood or of same villages and town.
In my opinion, I should say that both the voters and political parties are responsible for undeserving representatives. When it comes to the voters, they mainly misuse their vote in electing the wrong candidate. Many of the voters knew that their candidates are not qualitative for bringing about a desirable change but they instead cast their vote in discriminatory way adhering to the set mentality of casteism. Thus, in present democracy, electing a representative have somehow become like a rubbish game. So, it can be clearly said that the voters are the main causes of backwardness in the country. Educating the voters with basic concept as how to utilize the vote strength is important aspect and we should have qualitative voting rather than quantitative voting. An appropriate voter education would provide citizens with knowledge regarding how their votes will contribute to the final result in an election. Too often, people go into the voting booth not knowing anything about the people they are selecting to represent them. The leaders we elect make decisions that affect our daily lives. Elections are our chance to stand up for what matters most to us and to have an impact on the issues that affect us, our communities, our families and our future. What I feel we're missing is a properly increased focus on those seeking mandate to represent us. Voter education is essential to ensuring that voters can effectively exercise their voting rights and express their political will through the electoral process. While voter information is certainly the responsibility of the election authority, voter education can easily be viewed as the responsibility of both of the election authority and civil society. Elections are one of the defining events of modern democracies, with periodic and fair elections come the additional prerequisites that citizens will have choices between individuals, parties, and policy options. They will also have the freedom to make these choices without undue intimidation; individual participation in elections establishes representative government and ensures accountability by those who are elected. The middle rung voters do not understand of how economic policies are going to affect them hence they are driven by narrow, false promises and self propaganda of politicians and fall easily prey to the booby trap of this vicious circle.
Concluding, it is a proven reality that uneducated voters, voters living below the poverty line and those who are still sailing in the casteism and large number of employed voters do not vote for a change in the society but for their petty means and employed class for their safe postings. Some of the people having money and muscle power are stooges of the parties safe guarding their interest also play a heavy role in diverting the voter's choice and channelize the voters in a fixed channel.
