JAMMU, Nov 13: An impressive function was organized to felicitate Sunny Nanda who broke the previous of India at World Speed Ball Championship by hitting 450 shots in 4 mins and made the India to fetch the 5th rank in world championship held in Kuwait in solo event and other four speedball players of J&K State at Jammu Club.
The function was oragnised by J&K Sports Speedball Association and players who recently went to Kuwait for 30th world speedball championship were felicitated on the occasion. Prominent among others present on the occasion were Sandeep Mehta S.P Special Task Force, Tarun Uppal National Core Committee Member Anna Hazare Movement, Bhupinder Gupta Owner Raddison Hotel and other Guest Shilpa Mahajan Cororator Ward No. 5, KL Kundal Principal M.V International School, J.S Hundal and others. The other four players felicitated on the occasion were Gurvansh Choudhary of Dogra Higher Secondary School, Hardeep Singh of APS Udhampur, Nakul Gupta and Bhumika Gupta from M.V Intl. School.
Speaking on the Occasion Sanjeev Verma said that in the forth coming world games to be held at france, the J&K Government would provide all the help in the promoting the game of speedball to its highest pinnacle.
