JKUPM castigates those spreading communal hatred

Jammu, Nov 15: Jammu and Kashmir United Peace Movement has criticized some so-called intellectuals, who have been spreading communal hatred between Hindu and Muslim brethern.
Chairman of the Movement Thakur Himmat Singh said that such attempts of these alleged intellectuals are felt highly provocative by the every sections of the society. The JKUPM which is an Amalgamation of Six different organisations has held its meeting which was attended by Jatinder Singh Alias Babu Singh, Mohammad Sharif Sartaj, Sardar Mangal Singh, Mohammad Rashid Qureshi, Narinder Singh Khalsa, Bhai Gurdev Singh, Kulwant Singh and Thakur Shiv Raj Singh. They appealed the masses of Jammu to rise to the occasion and isolate these marginal people of hate mongers, who are keen bent to destroy the traditional brotherhood, unity and integrity of multi ethnic, cultural and religious society of the State of Jammu and Kashmir. Himmat Singh said that it is so unfortunate that some disgruntled forces under the banner of so called intellectuals are spreading hate against the particular community and their religion, as they are keen bent to create communal disorder in Jammu province and are busy in provoking the people of Jammu against the Muslims of Jammu province by giving communal color to Rasana rape and murder case, carrying huge propaganda against special status give to the state including 35-A, terming it as Islamofascism in a seminar held at Jammu under the banner of Ikk Jutt Jammu. Thakur has expressed surprise over the silence of state administration led by Governor as how such forces have been permitted to spread the hate amongst the Hindu and Muslims in an open day light speeches made against the law, as why not any action has been taken against such forces. It seems all of them have been acting deliberately on the directions and under control of their political masters, they said.
Himmat singh asked the state government to investigate the matter thoroughly and take action against such forces under law so that in future no such forces dare to spread communal hatred against any community.
