PC my home, Sajad like my son, Says Muzafar Beigh, hints to quit PDP

Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 20: Facing worst crises due growing anger among senior leaders against incumbent leadership for projecting sychophants, PDP today faces another jolt when one of the founder member Muzaffar Hussain Beingh hinted to quit the party to jpin Third Front.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Beigh Tuesday said that he has no intention to quit from People's Democratic Party. Addressing a press conference at his residence in the outskirts of Srinagar city, Muzaffar Hussain Beigh said that he has not decided to resign from his party, the PDP until he gets response from the party to his queries which he has raised.
He said that he is not against the formation of Third Front. "Third Front seems to be a reality and if it happens, I will consider of joining it," he said and added that: "Peoples Conference is like home to me and Sajad Lone is like a son. If Sajad is interested in the third front, he should be encouraged."
Beigh said that a year back PDP formed a committee to amend the constitution of PDP of which he was the chairman and they had submitted a report to party president Mehbooba Mufti. "Meeting was supposed to be called but that never happened. Now I will decide my future only after I get a response from the party about the statements I made today. If PDP doesn't take a note then I'll change my party."
While questioning the stand of PDP and NC on election boycott, Beigh asked these parties to clear their stand Article 35A.
"The logic to boycott election was baseless. Why did they boycott it when the decision on this Article has to be taken by the Supreme Court of India and sometimes cases take a long time. Maybe this takes more than five years, does that means NC will boycott assembly elections?"
Beigh accused PDP of taking a decision without consulting him when he was just a phone call away. He said his party offended MLAs as well as MLCs. "PDP backstabbed both workers as well as leaders," he said and advised both PDP and NC to learn a lesson from 'great' leader Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah who according to him did great service to his people.
