Lakshmi register wins in 6th Christmas T20 Cricket Championship

JAMMU, Dec 6: Lakshmi Cricket Club Jammu registered his first win against Poonch Royals and entered in next stage in the 6th Christmas T20 Cricket Championship being played at Parade Ground Jammu under the banner of Christian Sports Organization Jammu, Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu, Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu and supported by Diocese of Jammu.
The objective of the championship is to involve the youths in sports so that they may not involve in drugs and the slogan is "Be Healthy- Don't Do Drugs". The Championship is being organized under the supervision of Dr. SD Singh Jamwal IGP Jammu and Fr. Kuriakose Chairmanship CSO whereas the event conduct committee includes SSP Rajesh Sharma, SSP Ramesh Kotwal, SP Amritpal Singh, Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer, lazar Kandayara, Johnson Gill, Festus Sotra, Victor Sotra, Asif Gill, David Mattoo, William Mattoo, Sudhir Singh, Sunil Sambyal, Anand Tripathi, Sahil Sharma and Sunny Gill. The Sponsors of the championship are Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu, South Indian Bank, Federal Bank, Canara Bank, Vivo and M/S Horizon Group of Industries. In today's match Lakshmi Cricket Club defeated Poonch Royals eleven by 7 wickets. Batting first Poonch Royals eleven scored 111 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 18 overs. Gurpreet 29 runs, Yasir 28 runs were the main scorers for Poonch Eleven. From the bowling side Harman took 3 wickets, Dhruv Mahajan and Yogesh Sikka took 2 wickets each. In reply Lakshmi Cricket Club chased the target in 16.5 overs by losing 3 wickets thus won the match by 7 wickets. Ateev Saini 39 runs, Yuvraj 25 and Pardeep Bali 15 runs were the main scorers. From Poonch Royals Gurpreet Singh and yasir shared 1 wicket. Ateev Saini was declared as man of the match.
