1/10/2019 10:07:29 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 10: Pradesh Congress Committee Migrant Cell has castigated the BJP led Union government for allegedly ignoring the interests of Kashmiri Pandit community.
According to press release, a meeting of Migrant Cell / Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front (J&K) was held here today under the Chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, Co-Convenor PCC Migrant Cell/ President, JTC and SKF (J&K). The meeting was attended by the office bearers and members, in which various issues were discussed in detail.
Shadi Lal Pandita said that the BJP government has failed in mitigating the sufferings of the Kashmiri Pandit Migrant Community as nothing has been done for their Welfare and betterment during past more than four and half years.
Pandita has said that the Government of J&K had deferred issuance of RBA certificates to the Kashmiri Pandit Migrant youth hailing from Reserved Backward areas of Kashmir valley and despite representations to the authorities and Government issuance of RBA Certificates has not been restored which has adversely affected the educated Kashmiri Pandit Migrant Youth.
Pandita has said that tall claims were made by the leaders of BJP during past elections both at Union as well as state level assuring safe return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandit Migrant community in Kashmir valley but nothing has been done as yet with the result this community is still living in exile despite lapse of about 30 years.
It has further been said that the Government has also failed in implementation of Prime Ministers Employment Package for Kashmiri Pandit Migrant Youth announced long back in 2008 by the then Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh during his visit of Jammu as only part package has been implemented and still about 3000 posts under this package are yet to be filled.
