Of 48 selected candidates. 29 were from Chadoora

Early Times Report
jammu, Jan 12: Controversial selection list of junior assistants in the J&K secretariat (subordinate) services which was prepared during the erstwhile PDP-BJP coalition regime has come into focus again as the deserving candidates, who were left out, are demanding that the Governor's administration should order a probe to bring facts to fore.
It may be recalled that the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board had forwarded a selection list vide reference letter number SSB/Secy/Sel/2017/13641-46 dated 26/12/2017 of 48 Junior Assistants in the Civil Secretariat (Sub-ordinate) Services to General Administration Department.
The GAD in turn issued order number 08-GAD of 218 dated 2/01/2018 asked the candidates to join the department but surprisingly, of the total 48 selected candidates 29 candidates were from Chadoora Budgam, which was represented by Peoples Democratic Party MLA.
The 29 selected candidates particularly area were Fareeda Akhter, Mushtaq Ahmed Rather, Rouf Ahmad Dar, Rukaya Rahim, Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, Tasaduq Gulfam, Parvez Ahmad Sheikh, Ajaz Ahmed Sheikh, Aarif Bashir, Chesfeda Ahad, Suheel Bashir, Shoaib Mohammad Sofi, Amir Tariq, Bilal Ahmad Dar, Umar Bashir, Nusrat Rashid, Uma Mushtaq Pary, Rouf Rashid, Parvaiz Ahmad Dar, Soobia Manzoor, Sajjad Ahmad Bhat, Sohail Ahmad Ganaie, Sahhreen Tariq, Mohammad Yousuf Sheer Gojree, Saima Akber, Javaid Ahmad Ganayee, Wahild Manzoor, Adil Ahmad Sheer Gojree and Firdous Ahmad Gojree. These 28 selected candidates from Chadoora Budgam while one more selected candidate was from district Budgam. "What it could be called whether only the candidates of Chadoora were most qualified across the state to become Junior Assistants in the Civil Secretariat or had done lot of hard work and their hard work reaped benefits for them", an official said, adding that or it a co-incidences that the then MLA of Chadoora was from PDP and PDP was heading the coalition government.
Chadoora falls in central Kashmir and PDP has been trying hard to increase its foothold from South Kashmir to central Kashmir. "It could also be called another co-incidence that an official holding an important post in the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board was also from Chadoora", an official revealed.
He said eyes were raised over the matter when the selection list was published but it was the government of PDP-BJP and the issue was hushed up and none other party tried to rake up issue persuasively but now the Governor's administration has taken reins of the state and it should take a call and initiate an enquiry to know how come 29 candidates from one area were selected.
