Jammu, Feb 11: Agitating strongly today against the improper water supply at Udhampur city & surrounding villages. Panthers Party's activists under the leadership of JKNPP President & Former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia here today gherao & locked PHE Office. While leading a massive protest rally against PHE department JKNPP President & Former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia informed that PHE Department has completely failed to improve water supply and the people have to be scarce of a drop of water. Mankotia said that the awareness campaign highlighting three main issues including improper water supply was led during last month under which a huge rally was marched towards DC office and ended with an assurance of early redressal of the problems within the time span of 10 days but the department gave failed to fulfill its promise for which there is deep anguish among the people.
Mankotia termed as political failure & lack of coordination between officers over the water scarcity problem. Expressing deep anguish over the failure of PHE officers, Mankotia said that the people of Udhampur city & surrounding villages are facing many problems due to water scarcity from the last 3 years and when the department is been enquired over it, their officers do procrastination. Mankotia blamed that the officials of PHE Department are turned blind eye over the scarcity of Water. He said that they will never tolerate the casual approach of PHE Department.
