However, raising question over story created by Kalakote Police, sources said that Police Sunday chased the vehicle on the basis of complaint from local.
"A case in this regard under FIR No. 09/2019 under section 380 of RPC has been registered at Police Station Kalakote", the statement said. However, Police have also said that the investigation was going on and involvement of some official (s) of concerned department cannot be ruled out.
"A scrap dealer remained present inside the plant for atleast a week gather valuable machines and metal on Sunday, the Tata Mobile was loaded", they said and added that presently Army has housed inside the premises of defunct plant for past over a decade.
"It is not possible for a vehicle to enter the plant, it could happen due to support of insiders material worth several crore was stolen. The arrested driver has a copy of challan vide number 26/19, dated 10/02/2019", they said.
They further said that the locals have even identified several officials of JKSPDC, but Police have not summoned them for questing. "Efforts are being made to provide top officials, who facilitated thefts on several occasion", they added.
