|Drug peddler arrested with 730 grams charas, cash Rs 30,000|

JAMMU, Mar 21: Continuing its efforts against drug menace under operation 'Sanjeevani', District Police Jammu today claimed to have arrested one drug peddler and recovered 730 grams of charas and cash Rs 30,000 from his possession during intervening night of March 20 and 21.
Police spokesman said that a Police team of Arnia police station led by led by SHO Arnia-SI Bansi Lal, while performing patrolling duty in Arnia Town stopped one person for police checking who was moving suspiciously.
"On search, 730 grams charas like substance and cash Rs 30,000 were recovered from his possession," said spokesman adding that the person identified as Ramesh Kumar alias Kuku of Ward No 13, Arnia has been arrested.
In this connection a case under FIR No. 17/2019 under section 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Arnia and investigation has been initiated.
