Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 24: Ramgarh Police in district Samba has allegedly ruined the career of an aspirant solider, who had to appear for written test being conducted by Indian Army.
According to the family members, Ramgarh Police this morning picked Sushil Kumar, from his house at Arnia on the basis of undisclosable complaint. His father Mangat Ram and his uncle Janak Raj were also arrested.
"A police team from Ramgarh Police Station reached our house early morning along with some Police officials from Arnia Police Station, they took Sushil and his father with them without telling us any reason", said Mainga Ram, grandfather of Sushil. "I also went to Police Station, but they didn't tell us the reason for the arrest, even my younger son Janak Raj who visited his bother at Police station was also arrested by Police", he said.
SHO Ramgarh, Inspector Kuldeep Raj when contacted said that the trio has been arrested for committing affray in the presence of Police, under section 160 and 151. However, he refused to share any more information.
Family said they were told that trio would get bail on Monday. "Police didn't tell us why they have arrested them", Mainga Ram said.
"I don't know who has filed the complaint, and copy of complaint is lying with SHO sahib," said Munshi Vakil Chand of Ramgarh police station.
He said that has arrested only two persons i.e. Janak Raj and Mangat Ram.
It is pertinent to mention here that the SHO in his version claimed that trio were arrested for committing affray in Police's presence, but here questions arise, how the Ramgarh Police came to know about incident, that 'virtually' took place under the jurisdiction of Arina police, as the residence of all three persons is located at distance of few hundred meters from the Arina Police station.
"Who complaint about the 'virtual' affray Police are talking about?, and if SHO's version is true that 'affray' took place in the presence of Police, who was another party except my family", questioned Mainga Ram. "We are poor and illiterate people, residing here for more than 70 years we have no feud with anybody", he said.
SSP Samba, Dr Koushal Kumar also tried to defend his men. "Something had happened that's why Police have arrested them", the SSP said, adding that he would look into the matter.
